Imma good kid.
For the first time in my life, I was the “good kid.” I swept and mopped what my mom told me to, and even what she didn’t tell me to, while my brother snuck upstairs to watch TV. He got busted and my mom said, for the first time in my life: “Why aren’t you helping instead of sneaking off to watch TV? Shelby is helping, even without being asked.”

SOOO my mom agreed to let me dye my hair funky over break for my eighteenth birthday on the 7th. I’m thinking bright orange or fire engine red. Personally I don’t see the point in dying your hair a normal colour. If you’re gonna kill it, you might as well do it in a big way right? I want to make a statement.
I feel like me getting the balls to do this really shows me something....

So just so all y’all know, I was accepted to Marywood University in Scranton, PA for Interior Architecture with a $64,000 scholarship. Yeah. Pretty much flippin’ shit about that. No biggy.

Best fricking day of my life!
So even though it was Valentine’s Day and I’m single and nothing romantic happened and the boy I really love didn’t ask me out, it has still been the best day of my life.
I just received my acceptance letter to the college of my choice. It was the only college I applied to because I knew that I wouldn’t be happy anywhere else. When I opened the letter I burst into tears....
I can't wait for everyone to come home to this...

I hate when my mother talks about when she was young and how bad her life was and how she was scared her father was going to shoot her and blah blah blah. I know her life was hard and her father was abusive or whatever, but that doesn’t mean she can whip that out whenever she wants me to feel sorry for her.

I hate that the Twilight movie series has such good soundtracks because it makes all these lame little girls aware of all of these absolutely amazing bands.
